AORN MAYWOOD CHAPTER 1424

Chapter Members,

The 3rd meeting of our chapter was held on July 17, 2025, at Mattone’s restaurant and was sponsored by Ethicon. There were 15 members in attendance. The meeting minutes will be posted on nursingnetwork.com. The dinner and education were great, thanks to Ethicon Representatives Brad Hanchak and Breanna Zelenika. Thank you, all who attended. Pictures are posted under photo galleries for this meeting and the previous 2 meetings.

Our next meeting is at Beatrix in Oak Brook on August 21st . Dinner and education, 1 CEU, will be provided by Molnlycke. The sign-up flyer will be posted soon. RSVP is required by August 14th and there will be a 25-member limit due to the space availability. Please check your schedules and sign-up as soon as possible.

The September 18th meeting is being sponsored by Stryker and the education topic will be SSI prevention. No definite location yet, although the Stryker representative mentioned Maggiano’s in Oak Brook as a possibility.

We will continue to invite nearby hospitals, MacNeal, Gottlieb, Elmhurst, and the VA, to increase our diversity in this chapter. If anyone has a contact in the OR at another hospital or ASC nearby, please let us know and we can extend the invitation to them as well.

The proposed bylaws are attached. We will be voting on them next meeting.
